Episode 1
The rain was pouring heavily over the dark streets of New York, reflection of neon lights blurring against the wet pavement. Elena held her coat tightly around her shoulders, her hands trembling slightly—not just from the freezing cold, but from the unsettling feeling that she was being watched.
Elena was just an ordinary girl, a passionate art student who spent her evenings working late at a quiet downtown bakery to pay for her college tuition. Tonight, however, the streets felt unusually quiet, almost deadly.
As she turned into a narrow alleyway to take a shortcut home, a heavy black SUV suddenly slammed its brakes at the end of the lane. The doors flew open, and dark figures stepped out into the rain.
Before Elena could scream, a tall, commanding figure emerged from the Shadows.
It was Dante Vance.
He was the undisputed king of the city's dark underworld—a man feared by everyone, ruthless, powerful, and dangerously handsome. His sharp grey eyes locked onto Elena’s terrified gaze through the heavy downpour. He wore a tailored charcoal suit, untamed black hair dripping with rain, and an aura that screamed authority.
Dante was clutching his side, blood faintly seeping through his white dress shirt. He was ambushed, but his calm posture showed no trace of fear.
"Get out of here, shorty," Dante’s deep, velvet voice cut through the sound of the falling rain. He didn't even look at her as he pulled a sleek black gun from his jacket.
Elena’s heart slammed against her ribs. She wanted to run, but her feet felt glued to the concrete. Just as two rival mobsters charged into the alley with weapons drawn, Dante moved with lethal speed. Shots echoed in the tight space.
In seconds, it was over. The rival men were on the ground, and Dante stood victorious, though he stumbled slightly, his blood loss catching up to him.
He leaned against the brick wall, his heavy gaze turning back to Elena, who was frozen in absolute shock.
"I told you... to run," Dante muttered, his voice dangerously low as he took a step toward her, before collapsing onto one knee right in front of her feet.
Elena was faced with a terrifying choice: run for her life, or save the dangerous stranger who held a gun in his hand.
